DON DOKKEN's Long-Out-Of-Print Solo Album 'Solitary' Made Available Digitally

February 18, 2014

DOKKEN vocalist Don Dokken has released his long-out-of-print solo album "Solitary" in digital format for the first time. The release is available exclusively on Amazon at this location.

"Solitary" was sold exclusively at live shows, primarily on a small run of acoustic dates that Don performed while opening for QUEENSRŸCHE.

"Solitary" track listing:

01. In The Meadow
02. I'll Never Forget
03. Where The Grass Is Green
04. Ship Of Fools
05. You Are Everything
06. Venice
07. Sarah
08. The Tragedy
09. Someday

Don previously stated about "Solitary": "The labels do not understand this CD. Even though Robert Plant has done a similar record, most labels are afraid to release a mellow peaceful record like this. I think they are afraid my fans won’t understand the music.

"I am very proud of this body of work. The songs come from my heart and it was a chance to show a different side of me."

DOKKEN's eleventh studio album, "Broken Bones", sold around 2,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 173 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released in North America on September 25, 2012 via Frontiers Records, the effort was made available in two configurations: standard CD and limited-edition CD in digipak with a bonus DVD, which features a comprehensive "Making Of The Album" documentary.
